Join us for this documentary film on one of the spiritual greats of the late 20th century - Henri Nouwen, Icon of wisdom & compassion. Nouwen possessed a unique insight into the human condition. After many years as professor at Notre Dame, Yale, and Harvard universities, he embarked on a radical and personal pilgrimage of downward mobility that led him to L'Arche, a community of people with developmental disabilities. Henri Nouwen - like Mother Teresa, Mahatma Ghandi, and C.S. Lewis - has influenced the spiritual journeys of millions of people around the world.
Notables as diverse as Kofi Annan, Hilary Rodham Clinton, and Fred Rogers have publicly acknowledged the considerable and personal influence Nouwen`s writing has had for them.

Henri Nouwen was perhaps the most popular and influential spiritual writer of the late twentieth century. He looked at people as living documents in a whole person approach, rather than case studies, and his body of work engaged multidisciplinary fields. With an extraordinary capacity to reach wide audiences across the religious, cultural, and political spectrum Henri touched millions through this books, lectures, and workshops. His books have been published in more than 28 languages.
